The mobile phone telecommunication sector has been growing at an explosive rate in the last 10 years. Between 1997 and 2012, an additional 1 billion new customers were added especially in the rural areas. For a telecommunications operator to access these new markets and provide services to potential customers in remote rural areas, they must solve the problem of supplying electricity in a reliable and cost-effective way.

A base transceiver station (BTS) is a piece of network equipment that facilitates wireless communication between a device and network.

 

 

A BTS consists of the following:

 

  • Antennas that relay radio messages
  • Transceivers
  • Duplexers
  • Amplifiers

 

 

TYPMAR Provides innovative and comprehensive solutions to Telecoms BTS (Base Transceiver Station). The system consists of maglev vertical axis wind turbine, solar panel, smart wind-solar hybrid controller, battery tank and inverter. The system features many advantages of neither public power supply needed nor cables laid down, anywhere for installation, and convenient to relocate if need. It can provide power supply continuously for 3 days even if there are neither sunlight nor wind. The maglev wind turbine is of Gyro-type stable structure and visually pleasing appearance.  The magnetic levitation technology and wind-PV combination makes the system generating power high efficiently and stably.

 

The hybrid power system operates with System Monitoring Unit for remote power monitoring and control. The system operating data will be transferred via GPRS network, which can display real-time and event log data that helps the customers to monitor consumed energy of Telecoms BTS.
